Top 5 Worst Foods for your Health
The weather here in San Francisco is a shocking 95 degrees or so which makes me not want to exercise. I used to love to exercise in the heat, but since I’ve been use to the San Francisco weather I would now rather exercise in cooler weather.
I’ve been off track on my diet lately as well. I tried some muesli which I like to help me get back on track. I started thinking, the best way to get my diet back on track is to brainstorm some of the worst foods I could possibly put in my body.
I may create this week’s top 5 list with this topic if I can come up with some good ideas. I’m hoping that coming up with a top 5 worst foods list will discourage me from eating the calorically dense, nutrient deficient foods which inhabit the list.
I’m hoping for a ton of participation from other bloggers to help me get a great list.
Right now the throne of bad foods is occupied by the king of bad foods, the doughnut. I absolutely love doughnuts. My favorite of all time is the maple glazed doughnuts at krispy kreme.
I know this is gross and I probably shouldn’t blog about bodily functions but…..
I lived in Corvallis, OR at the time and I had a friend who was driving all the way up from the Bay Area bring me up a dozen because Krispy Kreme didn’t exist in Oregon. I didn’t eat the whole dozen but it was close. That was around 10am.
There was a racquetball tournament later that afternoon and they had delivered about 10 pizzas. How could I resist. I had my usual around 5 or 6 slices of pizza and boy was I stuffed. Nice healthy day, 6+ doughnuts for breakfast, and 6 slices of pizza for lunch.
The gross thing is I remember later that night I burped and low and behold… gross…. it tasted like the dougnuts which I had eaten about 10 hours ago before 6 slices of pizza. Doughnuts were still in my stomach while the pizza had been digested already!
Okay now that I made that public I will try to get on to some other bad foods. I would have to say that hot dogs have to be near the top. Fried foods like onion rings offer very little nutritional value. The lovely whopper from burger king sounds like a terrible food.
There is lots of research to be done, so rather than going to my local fast food restaurant I will ask you, the wonderful blog readers out there to offer me some good … or bad suggestions
